Grahame Park Shared Enterprise Club
What is Grahame Park Shared Enterprise Club?
Grahame Park Shared Enterprise Club is a welcoming place where you can take time away from the pressures of everyday life to discover and spark your entrepreneurial talents.
The Club helps you develop clearer personal and career goals, whether or not you decide to start a business.
You will learn from and inspire others. You will gain confidence and motivation. In addition to finding out the basics about starting a business, you will improve your entrepreneurial skills, which will help you whatever you decide to do next. These skills include resilience, communication, team working, creativity, willingness to take risks and adaptability.
Who is the Club for?
Everyone is welcome, whether or not you have a business idea. Some people come with a vague idea about using their hobbies, interests or skills to start or grow a business or social enterprise. Some just want to learn about the basics of starting a business. Others have a clear business idea and just need some advice and support to get started. Some have started their business but want to network with other new entrepreneurs or need some support.
How does the Club work?
The main activity is a weekly Club meeting at the Old Library on the Concourse at Grahame Park. Meetings usually have a business-related theme (e.g., business planning, market research, social media) and we often invite inspirational speakers, including people who have set up their own businesses. Because we are a Club rather than a training course, everybody is welcome at any meeting or at all meetings. We also offer:
Who organises the Club?
The Club is organised by Shared Enterprise CIC’s experienced business advisers. Shared Enterprise CIC is a social enterprise with a mission to find fresh ways to tackle inequality. We developed the concept of Shared Enterprise Clubs because we believe that many people are much more talented than they – and sometimes others - think they are. We believe that with the right support and encouragement, people can build their entrepreneurial talents and go on to achieve great things for themselves and the community.
